The Physicians Committee is seeking an experienced digital project manager to own and drive the process for Web projects. This is a new role with a lot of opportunity to make things happen. We are looking for someone who thrives with interpersonal communication, is always thinking big picture, is an expert negotiator and persuader, and has advanced problem resolution and analytical skills. If you can argue like you are always right and listen like you are always wrong and thrive with challenging the status quo, then we would love to hear from you.
The digital project manager will be responsible for increasing the efficiency of digital projects and will oversee Web content for the Physicians Committee. The role will focus on leading the process of updating the website, creating organizational alignment in the process, managing people and projects, and coordinating a team that possesses advanced technical, design, and editorial skills. The role does not include making the updates to the website or backend work. Specific duties include driving and ensuring organizational alignment between departments, planning project life cycles, monitoring the scope of projects, managing expectations, leading project kickoff meetings, keeping a content calendar, documenting meetings, and reporting on deliverables.
We are looking for a team player who will tackle his or her work with a sense of urgency, persistence, and vigor—and who will help champion a new culture of governance. PMP® Certification, excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience supervising people, and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a timely manner are essential. The ideal candidate is meticulously organized, excels at managing conflict, loves making things more efficient, has 5+ years of experience managing full life cycle web and digital marketing projects, is able to handle many competing priorities, and is looking to make the world a healthier place.
This is a full-time position located at the Physicians Committee’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.
